The Presto Chart - September 2021
After making a pre-release entry at No. 10 in our August chart, Víkingur Ólafsson's exquisite and thought-provoking recital of music by Mozart and his contemporaries Galuppi, Cimarosa, Haydn and CPE Bach rocketed to the top spot last month following its release on 10th September; the Icelandic pianist's 2018 Bach recital (which won Recording of the Year at the 2019 BBC Music Magazine Awards) has also enjoyed a new release of life on the back of the new album.
