November 2021

Nothing in the entire literature of Etudes surpasses Chopin’s Op. 25, and the best interpreters not only clear all the technical hurdles but project the 12 pieces as a progressive sequence. Rana’s performances add up very satisfyingly, yet they are also full of remarkable detail.

March/April 2022

Nothing in Scherzo No. 1 sounds like any previous reading, and even Richter is rivaled for impetuosity...this is the most original Chopin recital in years. It might serve, in fact, as a breakthrough for a pianist who could eventually match Argerich in mastering the piano at a rare level of formidable technique, fiery temperament, and totally absorbing musicality.

November 2021

Her playing has fire and poetry, imagination and originality, temperament and charm, all on top of fearless technical address.
