Alina Ibragimova's Paganini Caprices on Hyperion occupies pride of place in the May chart - recorded during lockdown last summer, the accounts were praised in this month's Gramophone for her 'all-facilitating technique' and 'amazing imagination', and in The Guardian for the 'addictive variety, grace and insouciance' which she brings to these formidable pieces.
