Last Wednesday I was lucky enough to attend the Diapason d’Or de l’Année Awards in Paris (courtesy of our friends at Naïve Classique); over the past decade, the ‘palmarès’ have come to be regarded as France’s most prestigious accolades for recorded classical music. The ceremony took place at the Maison de la Radio and was broadcast live on France Musique, with live performances by award-winners including Bartók from Renaud Capuçon and Rachmaninov from Arcadi Volodos.
