15 CD set of the complete recordings of Enrico Caruso, including a demonstration disc of the NoNoise digital restoration system plus a comprehensive 82 page booklet.
“He made the Gramophone”, the first significant record producer, Fred Gaisberg, once wrote under a photograph of that Neapolitan tenor whom he had heard in March 1902…..”and the Gramophone made him”, added the English recording expert, Sir Compton Mackenzie, at a later date.
Although Enrico Caruso died in 1921, a number of generations of singers and collectors are familiar with his voice – but only from recordings made during the beginnings of gramophone recordings, yet his name is legend. This fine set of digitally remastered recordings is a testament to that fact.
