Some of the finest Verdi conducting of the period
2010 edition
Sinopoli draws out phrases lovingly, sustaining pauses to the limit, putting extra strain on the singers. Happily, the whole cast thrives on the challenge...some of the finest singing of all comes from Agnes Baltsa as Preziosilla.
