Gramophone Awards 2014: Disc of the Year and Special CategoriesThe Presto website team are currently over at St John's Smith Square for the annual Gramophone Awards, where it's just been announced that the coveted Disc of the Year prize has been awarded to Riccardo Chailly and the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig for their Brahms Symphonies cycle on Decca.

The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Sir James Galway, whilst Sir Neville Marriner won the Outstanding Achievement Award, and violinist Leonidas Kavakos takes the Artist of the Year prize.

Young Scottish label Delphian scooped the Label of the Year crown - in celebration, we'll be launching a promotion across their entire catalogue very soon, so watch this space!
