Why sell with Presto?

Selling through us takes the hassle out of selling for yourself. You won’t have to deal with questions about your instrument, potential haggling on price or people coming to see it and test it. We will also be able to sell it at a better price because of the service we are adding.

Commission sales

Initially, we will need to know a bit more about your instrument, particularly the make and model. This can be done over the phone or by contacting us via email.

How the commission process works

• If we think we can help, we will need to see the instrument in-store
• We will consider any pre-sale work that needs to be done and look at current market values for the make and model of the instrument to provide a valuation
• Once a selling price is agreed, the cost for any workshop time would be paid for in advance of advertising
• We operate on a commission %, so when your instrument is sold, the commission % will be removed from the value of the sale and the balance paid after a cooling off period for the purchaser

We have a large number of customers viewing our website and we keep a waiting list for customers who are looking for a particular instrument. If you decide to sell your instrument through us, we will do the following to ensure that we reach as many customers as possible to try and secure a prompt sale:

• Prepare the instrument for sale to ensure it is in full working order
• Take high quality images for web listings along with a description
• Advertise your instrument for sale on our website and promote it on our social media channels and in-store newsletter
• Subject to space, we may be able to feature the instrument on an in-store display
• Depending on the model, we can also produce a video to promote your instrument

Part exchange

If you are looking to purchase a new instrument from us and would like us to consider a part exchange with your current instrument, please email us in advance of your visit to see if this is something we will be able to consider.

Buy-In

If an instrument make, model or type is particularly in demand, we may be able to consider purchasing directly from you. Please email us in advance to see if this is something we can consider.
