Wednesday 14th October 2026 - An Evening with Jess Gillam
Doors open at 6:00pm, event begins at 6:30pm
Spanning 900 years of music, SHINE brings together folk traditions, Baroque masterpieces, jazz, classical music and contemporary song in a programme that reflects Jess’s eclectic musical upbringing, and marks Jess’s first album as co producer, working alongside Norwegian violinist and artistic director of Barokksolistene, Bjarte Eike, Sam Becker and engineer and mixer Will Purton.
“I had one ambition with this project: to make an album that would make people smile,” says Jess. “I wrote down an album manifesto about a year ago and it simply said: BIG ENERGY. BEAUTY. MUSIC TO MAKE PEOPLE SMILE. MUSIC TO LIFT PEOPLE UP.”
This event will include live performance from Jess alongside conversation about the album and her music.

Tim Richards is back and he’s bringing his jazz and blues piano workshop to music shops across the UK! Renowned jazz pianist, composer and educator Tim Richards returns to the workshop setting for a special series of interactive sessions exploring jazz and blues piano. Whether you're an early-intermediate piano player looking to develop your skills, a music teacher seeking inspiration, or simply a jazz lover who enjoys playing piano, this is a chance to get involved and learn directly from an experienced performer, composer and teacher. Drawing on ideas from Tim’s books, Beginning Jazz Piano (Books 1 & 2), Improvising Blues Piano and Blues, Boogie & Gospel Collection, this workshop will be an informal, hands-on opportunity to explore, play and listen. So come along and discover more about jazz and the blues!
