Many new entries appeared in the best-selling albums of December 2022, including many surprising ones as well as our picks for Albums of the Year. Besides our Top 5 records - Kokoroko's Could We Be More, Alina Bzezhinska's Reflections, Julian Lage's View With a Room, Immanuel Wilkins' The 7th Hand and Tord Gustavsen's Opening - we also had some interesting older albums climbing the best-seller charts, including 2021 albums from Kenny Garrett, Veronica Swift, and Graham Collier, as well as Cécile McLorin Salvant's 2018 record The Window alongside her latest album Ghost Song. Beating out all of them, though, was one of our final Recording of the Week picks for 2022: Oscar Peterson and his trio's On a Clear Day: Live in Zurich 1971 released on Mack Avenue Music.
