The Bill Charlap Trio's brilliant Street of Dreams dominates the jazz chart for December 2021, while other albums from earlier in the year by Samara Joy, Dr. Lonnie Smith and Daniel Herskedal also reappeared high up in the charts following our Recordings of the Year winners announcement. Other notable new chart entries include Makaya McCraven's Deciphering the Message and Johnathan Blake's Homeward Bound on Blue Note, while archival recordings by Art Blakey and Oscar Peterson proved to be popular in the final month of the year.
