Sibelius Edition
The Sibelius Edition on BIS started in 1979 with the recording of Volume 1 of the composer's complete original piano music. This was released on BIS-LP-153, and later re-released as a CD with the same catalogue number. Since then the number of volumes has increased steadily, and the Edition now includes all genres, such as orchestral works, chamber music and songs. For a detailed listing of the contents on each disc in the Sibelius Edition, please click on the respective catalogue number. Please note that over the years a number of works – for instance the Symphonies – have been re-recorded, and appear in parallel versions in the BIS catalogue.
