Endre Wolf was concert master for the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra for nearly a generation and was undoubtedly the finest violinist who ever came out of Sweden. Born in Hungary he travelled as a youngster to Sweden and began a successful concert career before he took the post as concert master. For years he was professor in violin in Manchester and later in Stockholm. All the recordings are rare radio tapes and some even private off-the-air and all are here released for the first time.
