Quoting John Tavener: Ypaköe, in Greek refers to the Yapöe of Easter 'Why seek ye among the dead, as though He were mortal man?'. Ypaköe forsolopiano is a meditation on both the Passion and Resurrection of Christ.

Ypakoë is a totally spiritual concept - to attone the individual's (performer's or listener's) will to the divine will. Ypakoë ispersonaland its violation may permit sanctions, the purpose of which is to heal the listeners.
