About
The torchy, smoky sound of vocalist Chris Connor widened the range for jazz singers and in doing so epitomized cool Jazz singing in the 1950s. Her taste, style and intelligent analysis of a lyric divides “Lullaby For Lovers” into two moods—love found and love lost, giving this album a unique, breathy and intimate experience for listeners.
