LongGone by Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride and Brian Blade leaps to the top of the September jazz chart, entering at number 1, shortly followed by Enrico Rava and Fred Hersch's The Song Is You, as well as new releases from Julian Lage and Keith Jarrett. Other Recording of the Week featured albums, like J.D. Allen's blues-influenced Americana Vol. 2 and Yellowjackets' Parallel Motion also climbed the chart, with a classic album by the late Pharoah Sanders, an archival live set from Miles Davis, and a deluxe re-issue from John Coltrane also found their way into last month's bestsellers.
