In this new and much-anticipated complete opera recording from superstar Andrea Bocelli, the tenor heads up a fine cast to explore Puccini’s last opera.

Taking the lead role of Calaf – the 'unknown prince' - Bocelli’s powerful tenor tells a compelling story of riddles answered, triumph secured, honor displayed, and love deeply felt. The key role of the ice-cold riddler Princess, Turandot, is sung by Jennifer Wilson – fast becoming one of today’s major dramatic sopranos.

Zubin Mehta has made something of a speciality of this first-class Puccini opera from his classic Decca recording (1972) onwards, bringing here an intensely dramatic reading of the score with an arresting orchestral performance from the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana.

Bocelli gives a glorious rendition of the spell-binding “Nessun Dorma” (“None shall sleep”), perhaps the best-known and most-loved tenor aria in all opera.
