Onyx

ONYX started in May 2005 and its owner/director is Paul Moseley, for many years a senior executive at Decca. It is a premium quality, artist-led label. Their aim is primarily to record classical artists who are already well-known worldwide (often with previous recording contracts with so-called ‘major’ labels), and now wish to take more control of their recording careers. They release about 12 recordings per year and in their first 3 years we have already been awarded 2 Grammy Awards (USA) 2 Gramophone Awards (UK) and 2 Diapasons d’Or de l’Année (France).
