Delphian Records sign The Syred Consort
Ben Palmer's Syred Consort - one of London's most successful chamber choirs - mark their signing to the award-winning Scottish label Delphian Records with a disc of music by Antonio Lotti.
Lotti's exquisite Crucifixus is justly famous, beloved of singers and audiences alike for its gorgeously poignant suspensions. Incredibly, however, the Mass from which it is taken - the Missa Sancti Christophori - has never been recorded before.
Palmer and his Consort, assisted by the Orchestra of St Paul's, seek to put matters right with their forthcoming album, which will be centred around a complete recording of the Mass.
