This classic American Folk Song has been artfully arranged by Russell Robinson for a young mixed choir. The alternation of unison singing, two-part writing and the use of the full SATB ensemble gives variety and texture to the strophic form typical of folk songs. Down in the Valley will be an excellent choice for contest/festival performance.
