About
Ballade for Piano was commissioned by Brenda Roberts for Yuri Patterson ? Olenich to whom it is dedicated. My main conscious aim at the time was to recreate the spirit, if not the letter of nineteenth century piano works that share the same generic title. The first performance was given by Yuri Patterson - Olenich at the Royal Academy of Music, London on the 27st January 1995.
