Folk Dance is a fun and energetic polka commissioned by David Heyes to commemorate the centenary of the birth of the Czech double bass virtuoso, Frantisek Posta (1919 to 1991). Structured in ternary form, Folk Dance maintains a light-hearted character throughout and the increase in tempo towards the end leads to an exciting finish!
