The three „odd little piano pieces for the left hand alone“ should preferably played without interruption (attaca) as a unit. Between the second and third piece more preparation time is needed to press the keys down silently. The very popular melodies of the pieces „Der Mond ist ausgegangen…“ and „Jacques‘ Bruder“ should be played marcato. Fingerings and use of pedal have to be adapted to the size of the hand and the instrument. Basically all pieces are to be played „con Pedale“. Additionally some phrases are marked with pedal signs. These are obligatory.
