This jazzy piece, written in a standard blues progression, is the perfect introduction to this essential musical style. Written to be performed in either a straight rock or swing feel, directors looking to highlight their saxophonists should consider this piece. There are multiple solo to soli saxophone options in the style of an open jazz vamp. The drum parts are written for multiple players but you can also feature a young drum set performer. An excellent light jazz composition to help students learn about blues chord progressions and blues scales while also having fun!
