Robert Baksa's writings have been described by contemporary music lovers as almost a guilty pleasure. Certainly, the constructs fit in well with 20th and 21st century composition, but Baksa also never forgets a melodic line, a listenable quality that impresses a growing fan base upon first hearing. Adding to a healthy catalog of instrumental music, Baksa here pairs the upper strings in contrasting movements: where the first is marked Melancholy, the second is Quite fast - Angrily. For advanced performers.
