About
Compoer's note: "This notebook is a cycle of polyphonic preludes for piano. They are intended for students of conservatoires and pupils of senior grades of elementary music schools. They may also be used as an aid in the study of counterpoint. All this, naturally, does not exclude the performance on the concert stage of the whole cycle or of individual items." R. Shchedrin
