About

European jazz trio Third Reel's debut album for ECM features the collaborative outfit's mix of forward-thinking jazz, avant-garde improvisation, and ambient rock-influenced music. Featured here are tenor saxophonist/clarinetist Nicolas Masson, guitarist Roberto Pianca, and drummer Emanuele Maniscalco. Individually, each member of Third Reel has had varied experiences across musical boundaries, and brings those experiences to bear on this highly creative and engaging debut.
