The latest release from Keith Jarrett's 2016 solo piano tour, Bordeaux Concert, topped the Presto Music jazz charts in October, while other entries from last month like Joshua Redman et al.'s LongGone and Enrico Rava & Fred Hersch's The Song Is You make way for new and rising releases from Samara Joy and Blue Note Records. Two new entries, in fact, come in the form of Blue Note compilations this month - the UK nu-jazz/neo-soul comp Blue Note Re:imagined II, and Here It Is: A Tribute to Leonard Cohen, both featuring a number of artists from the label's roster. Other new entries include The Comet Is Coming's Hyper-Dimensional Expansion Beam (as well as the re-entry of their 2019 album Trust in the Lifeforce of the Deep Mystery), Snarky Puppy's live album Empire Central, and The Bad Plus' new self-titled record.
