While Armenian pianist Tigran Hamasyan is more often known for his blistering original compositions influenced by Armenian folk traditions and progressive rock, StandArtis his first album featuring only tunes from the American Songbook, covered with the same experimental flair that makes his original works so interesting.

Originally released in 2020, Finding Seagulls was the breakthrough hit for Danish jazz trio Little North, who also featured as our Recording of the Week a couple of weeks back.
