The new Tom & Will 46 series double bass bags have been redesigned from the bass upwards and we think we now have the ultimate in protection whilst remaining lightweight, practical and economical.
New features include our new RCS handles, new all-around single zip easy opening, heavy duty oversized Tom & Will zips throughout, high density padding, two front lined pockets, padded bow pocket, new hideaway backpack and shoulder strap carrying system with side pads and more!
Our new 46 series double bass bags feature the best quality high density padding, fabric, clasps, fastenings and zips. In short this bag is the best. We have added a new internal protecting pad where the bridge will sit to stop rosin and wear from damaging the lining of the bag. The new all-around full length single zip opening has heavy duty oversized Tom & Will double opening zips that are easy to use and guaranteed to last a lifetime.
All our straps and handles are riveted as well as cross stitched with high tensile threads - we want our handles to last a lifetime and have invested considerable time and effort to make sure that our handles and straps are not just comfortable, but long lasting as well. Each handle has six rivets, three at each end with a rigid inner core and stitched toughened polyester supporting handle covers.
Our new hideaway backpack and shoulder strap carrying system is designed to fit all - you can now carry your double bass like a ruck sack over your back with easy tightening & loosening pull straps or you can wear it over one shoulder and hide away the second strap. Straps and pulls can disappear out of sight by tucking them away inside our new breathable back pad.
Do watch walking through doorways however as your bass and bag will be taller than you and most door frames! For extra comfort we have added a padded lumbar support which also serves to hideaway the side pads when not in use.
The new Tom & Will 3/4 three quarter double bass bags should fit most common size double basses with dimensions of about 178cm x 49cm x 65cm (overall length x upper bout x lower bout).
Measurements are taken as follows: Full length of instrument from scroll to bottom of body excluding spike x widest point at upper bout or shoulders x widest point at lower bout or hips.
The bag is designed with a round gap for the bass spike to protrude out of the bag.
