Historical
Great historical recordings from the EMI archives, remastered.
The fairly new series documenting the most important historical recordings from EMI's rich back catalogue. A great opportunity to purchase some of the legendary recordings from the EMI archive at super-budget price. There is the Maria Callas Tosca, some of Furtwängler's Beethoven symphonies a lot more.
This series should grow to legendary status over the coming years.

Elisabeth Schwarzkopf (soprano) & Edwin Fischer (piano)
Fischer's luminous, unfussily truthful, sober yet supple, and above all supremely elevated pianism is the perfect foil to Schwarzkopf's eye-lash-fluttering vocal acuity. — More…
