About

The charismatic and creative young pianist Justus Eichhorn launches a collaboration with the Yellow Label with the release of his debut Deutsche Grammophon album The Source. Out on 4 September 2026 and including liner notes by the 16-year-old artist himself, the recording pays tribute to the rich musical history of his birthplace, Weimar. Eichhorn’s carefully curated programme includes works by composers closely connected with the German city, from J.S. Bach, Mendelssohn and Liszt to R. Strauss and Hindemith. Showcasing his own talents as composer as well as interpreter, The Source also presents the world premiere recordings of three original works by Eichhorn, along with his fresh takes on studies by Czerny and his arrangement of the Largo from Vivaldi’s Flautino Concerto, RV 443.
