About
Saehyun Kim’s debut album pays homage to Paris, which he describes as the city “where my life changed”. As well as being the first European city where Kim ever performed, Paris is the location of the Long-Thibaut Competition, which he won in 2025.
The programme features Chopin’s 12 Études, Op. 25 and Nocturne No. 8 in Db major, as well as Fauré’s Barcarolle No. 1, Valse-Caprice No. 1 and Impromptu No. 2. Kim performs his own arrangement of Fauré’s “Après un rêve”. The album closes with French singer-songwriter Charles Trenet’s “En Avril à Paris” (1953).
