Alongside Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, this release features the world premiere recording of Mikhail Pletnev’s Rachmaniana, an eight-movement suite which was first performed in January 2026 at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. Pletnev himself conducts the Rachmaninoff International Orchestra in this recording.
