Of particular note is the organ playing by Lorenzo Ghielmi, who has a great knack for picking vibrant registrations, and the lovely integrated harpsichord playing by Alessandrini, Andrea Buccarella, Salvatore Carchiolo, and Iganzio Schifani. All in all, this set of discs ranks right up among the best renditions of the concertos.

This double-disc offering is so good that it feels like the only set a person would ever need. The ensemble sound itself from Concerto Italiano is warm, nimble and buoyant.
