The album on which the anthem of Poland can be heard in different forms - from the harmonization made by Fryderyk Chopin to the overture of Albert Lortzing's one-act spectacle; it also contains references to other anthems and national songs - variations on the theme of God, Save the King by Johann Christian Bach or the theme of Rule Britannia written by Ferdinand Ries. The compositions are performed by Tobias Koch playing on an Erard piano from 1838 and Concerto K ln, one of the most important ensembles focused on historically informed performance, led by Gianluca Capuano.
