About

There are many organs in and around Toulouse, indeed one could fill a couple of CDs with instruments of quality. The most famous organ in the city is at St.Sernin which Priory recorded 30 years again. This return visit features another superb organ by the French builder Puget. The programme as you might expect is totally French and features music from the 19 th and 20 th centuries. A wonderful CD in demonstration sound played by the churches organist Matthieu de Miguel.

Awards and reviews

April 2020

Matthieu de Miguel evokes an enormous palette of organ colour and dynamics with an unerring sense of dramatic rhetoric, which makes a tremendously effective recording. With a perfect match between music and organ in generous acoustics, and with ample liner notes, this is a brilliant recording.
