About
The second and last instalment in the critically acclaimed survey of Bach’s Harpsichord Concertos with Fabio Bonizzoni as the soloist, accompanied by his group La Risonanza. The four works, which include Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto no.5, the Harpsichord Concertos nos. 3 and 6 and the Concerto for Flute, Violin and Harpsichord in A minor, are performed one-to-a-part.
This second volume includes a more varied range of works starting with the famous Brandenburg Concerto no.5, which is seen as the first harpsichord concerto. To end Bonizzoni’s survey, the group performs the Triple Concerto, with violin and flute.

Not surprisingly, [the performances] are much in the same vein as in Vol. 1, which is to say bright and buoyant, with no tricks or surprises but plenty of energy and brilliance. Bonizzoni’s playing mixes a likeable effervescence with firm control and cleverly used articulation…Really, this disc is just there to be enjoyed.
