About
This successful series featuring Bach played on English Cathedral organs is continued from Lincoln Cathedral. Priory have recorded this organ many time before but this is the first since the recent ”restoration” by Harrison & Harrison. Colin Walsh has worked with Priory in an association for over 30 years and is considered one of the finest players in the world. His Bach interpretations are awe inspiring as can be heard in this recital made in single takes.

With the skill of an experienced pilot he gently allows [BWV582] to slip her moorings and to creep out on a contrapuntal odyssey over the Lincolnshire fens. This is Bach-playing of the highest order – and a glorious conclusion to one of the finest Bach organ recordings in recent years.
