The highly versatile actress and soprano Barbara Marie-Louise Pavelka is releasing her first album with Christmas songs and arias.

It is a very personal and rare collection of pieces, some of which Pavelka got to know during her stay in France in a monastery over Christmas ("Entre le boeuf et l'âne gris", "Les anges dans nos campagnes"). Other pieces have accompanied her throughout her life ("Maria durch ein Dornwald ging", "Es wird scho glei dumpa") and others entered her life in the last years ("The First Nowell", "Mariä Wiegenlied"). As she is gifted in languages there is also a world premiere of a song with parts of the lyrics in Arabic ("O die tiefe Liebe Jesu").

Chiaki Kotobouki, a highly gitfted pianist, accompanies her with her own sensitive, simple and devout stile.
