There are only very few playable original transverse flutes from the 18th century. They are carefully guarded treasures that are rarely used. In his AEOLUS recording with flute sonatas by Bach Dutchman Peter Holtslag played an original 18th century instrument by Johann August Crone on the Sonata in B minor. A truly rare listening experience!
