About

The very young Japanese bassoonist Rie Koyama has already been showered with prizes and is a sought-after soloist in Germany and throughout Europe. In 2012 she won the renowned German Music Competition in Berlin: the CD being issued by GENUIN together with the German Music Council documents her high artistic level. Koyama and "her" Southwest German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim (conducted by Sebastian Tewinkel) perform concertos by Mozart, Vivaldi, Jolivet and Génin so fragrantly, tenderly and colourfully that one could believe that the god Pan, the inventor of the reed, were performing himself …
