There is a centuries old tradition that every year horn players in Saxony play a St. Hubert’s Mass in the church of Augustburg Castle. St. Hubert is patron saint of the hunt and Augustusburg was a hunting castle. Professor Thomas Hauschild and members of his horn class also perform works by Rossini Stiegler, Koetsier and Berlioz.
