John Cranko’s full-length ballet “Onegin” is one of the most moving works ever created for the dance stage. The premiere took place in 1995 in Stuttgart. The musical public, in enthusiastic response, has been clamouring for a recording of Tchaikovsky’s music for years. Now, the Stuttgart State Theatre, in collaboration with Bauer Studios, has translated this intention into action.

Under the direction of James Tuggle, the Stuttgart Ballet’s Music Director, the Stuttgart State Orchester recorded the first original edition of the music to “Onegin” in October 1999.
