Despite the melodies, drama and plot, La Fanciulla del West never really gained a foothold in international repertory until it was recently revived at the Met. Recorded live at the Puccini Festival in 2005, the husband-and-wife team of Daniela Dessi and Fabio Armiliato interpret the roles of Minnie and Ramerrez. Few complete recordings exist.
