About

Biber is best known as one of the most important composers for the violin but was also a prolific composer of sacred vocal works. The works featured here, Vesperae Longiores ac Breviores Unacum Litaniis Lauretanis are seldom heard. Simon Carrington was a co-founder of the Kings Singers and was professor of choral conducting at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music and director of this choir.
