Paul Carr's music shows that at his best, he's a composer as fine as any operating in this vein today...And you won't hear it better performed: the singing and playing are excellent from start...

This is lyrical, reflective, compassionate and, ultimately, uplifting work...Sophie Bevan and Mark Stone sing magnificently, soaring above and through the finely-blended Chorus Angelorum. Gavin Carr (brother of the composer) directs the Bath Philharmonia with a firm but persuasive touch.
