A monument of musical history, the Mass in B minor, like Beethoven's Missa solemnis to which it has often been compared, is one of the greatest manifestations of religious choral art. Michel Corboz and his Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne, his young professional choir founded in 1961, here perform Bach, using modern instruments, in Corboz' fourth recording of the work.
