Five years on since being awarded the First Prize at the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition, Bruce Liu has found a distinctive artistic voice that captures audiences with his trademark spontaneity, vivid imagination and a mastery of the piano that showcases technical brilliance alongside subtle and poetic changes of colours. In May 2026 the Pianist Magazine named Liu one of the '10 legendary pianists with the most beautiful cantabile tone'. High in demand across the globe, Liu performs with many of the world's finest ensembles including the London Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Staatskapelle Dresden, Wiener Symphoniker and Orchestre National de France, with conductors including Daniele Gatti, Manfred Honeck, Paavo Järvi, Petr Popelka, Santtu-Matias Rouvali, Lahav Shani, and Dalia Stasevska.
