The daughter of two professional cellists (her father is principal of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Dutch recorder-player Lucie Horsch was born in Amsterdam in 1999 and continues to study at the city’s Sweelinck Academie, where she enrolled in 2011. In 2014 she represented Holland at the Eurovision Young Musician competition, and two years later won the Concertgebouw Young Talent Award; she signed to Decca Classics the same year, and her debut recording of Vivaldi was awarded the Edison Klassiek Award in 2018. Her second album, Baroque Journey, was released in 2019.
